Song of India plants have multi-coloured leaves with bright green centers and yellow margins. The colours fade to lighter green and cream as individual leaves age. The leaves are lance-shaped and grow spirally around branches, up to at least one foot.
Like many other indoor plants, Song of India are also easy to maintain and will look their best and healthiest if provided with the right conditions. This tropical plant needs indirect light and warm temperatures. They like humid conditions and well-drained pots so that the soil can be moist.
Song of India should fertilize just once or twice a year. They need to be trimmed to keep the plant healthy and tidy. The plant can also be easily propagated by stem cuttings in both soil and water.
