A Rubber Plant usually thrives on bright light but not too much heat. It also needs a right balance of water and fertilizers. While growing, the plant needs to be kept moist and watered at least once a week. Also, the leaves should be wiped off with a damp cloth to keep them shiny and clean and promote new leaves. It is always advised to cut a slit in the node of the plant so that new leaves can sprout faster.
It is always advised to use a good quality potting mix and a container with proper drainage in order to let the Rubber Plant thrive. Rubber Plant prefers moderately cool, moist and humid air. For humidity, you can use a humidifier or set it on a tray with pebbles and water.
Also the plant is pest and disease-resistant, but must be kept in an airy place to avoid spider mites and mealybugs.

Common Problems
Why are the leaves of my Rubber Plant curling?
The curling of leaves of Rubber Plant might be because of uneven moisture in the soil. Try watering from underneath to ensure the roots can receive more water quickly.
Why have brown spots started appearing on the leaves?
If brown spots appear on the rubber plant leaves, this could mean the plant is too cold. If that is the case, you can try moving the plant to a place that offers warmer temperatures.
