TRANSFORM YOUR SPACE

  • Areca being a very popular plant is also low on maintenance. During hot, summer months, Areca needs to be kept hydrated. Always keep the plant near an airy window where it receives bright, yet diffused sunlight. Even though Areca can tolerate harsh sun, make sure to expose it only for a few hours else the leaves would start burning.
  • Syngoniums should be fertilized during the growing season with a well-balanced liquid fertilizer just once a month. The plant should be re-potted once every two years since the roots can outgrow the pots, stalling its growth further.
  • Like many other indoor plants, Song of India are also easy to maintain and will look their best and healthiest if provided with the right conditions. This tropical plant needs indirect light and warm temperatures. They like humid conditions and well-drained pots so that the soil can be moist.

Common Problems

Q1. Why do the tip of the leaves of Areca burn?
If the tips of Areca Palm have begun to burn, the main reason could be over or under watering of the plant. Make sure the soil is aerated and draining well and not holding water.

Q2. Why are the leaves of my Syngonium burning?
Direct sunlight can burn Syngonium's foliage, resulting in bleached leaves. It can also stall growth and hence it is important to keep them in indirect, yet brightly lit areas

Q3. Why is my Song of India losing leaves?
The most common cause of Dracaena Leaves falling off is either over or under watering. Also, there can be excess fertilization, heat or cold temperatures that can cause this problem.
